21+ year Navy veteran who started writing books as a form of therapy. Very much into anything retro, and if it lived in the 80s or 90s, that's my jam!
The story starts almost 11 years ago. I had a dream about an Atari 5200 and a man. The man start playing the 5200, and I woke up (yes I, not the man) to my bedroom when I was eight. I immediately woke up and thought, "That would be a good book or movie." I built the story over the timeframe of the next ten years. I decided last year, 2025, that I would sit down and not get up until I had something solid. I had no knowledge of where to start, so I just started writing. I did use AI for my covers because again, I didn't know anyone or even that #booktok was a thing. I got Paradox 5200 out through KDP, and immediately started working on Paradox Echo, which came out about a month later (I had a LOT of free time). It has taken me nearly ten months to complete the series that made me an author because it felt like my journey would end when I wrote the last line of Paradox Crystal. I did write two other books, Confessions of an Indie Author: A Collection of Struggles, Missteps, and Complaints (Second Edition now available) and Dark Sci-fi Horror Fantasy Comedy Smut and the Kitchen Sink: The Chronicles of Sinkie Sinkerton while I figured out whether I wanted to finish The Last Save Series. Sadly DSHFCS is no longer available through the Zon. I finally found the courage to finish The Last Save Series and now we are all caught up. I published my first book October 2025, and as of August 2026, I have written five books. If you take anything away from this, just WRITE THE BOOK!

The most common question about The Last Save Series has to be where the idea came from.
That story started as a dream almost 11 years ago about a man playing an Atari 5200 and suddenly woke up in my bedroom when I was a kid.
A funny thing about Confessions was I got four 1-star reviews on goodreads. A person made four profiles, or rallied their friends to attack my reviews only on goodreads because they read the preview of the book, and I joke about romance being Smut. If they had took the time to read through the entire book, they would see I actually do what they say I didn't do in the book. It gave me a good chuckle.
Sinkie was the most fun to write. It came as an idea because I didn't want to write a serious Dark Sci-fi romance. I was asked if I could do something like that, and I said I would try. I wrote 600 words very serious. I was driving home the next day, and I said I am too silly to write something this serious. I then said what-if the title of the book is all of the genres in the book. I typed them out and someone said '...and the kitchen sink', and the whole book flooded my mind. I wrote that book completely on live and had input from many people. Sadly, due to starting a job in the civilian world soon, and not using a pen name, I pulled the book from circulation, just in case.
I did narrate both the First Edition of Confessions and the Sinkie book, but I pulled them both from ACX. I intend to re-record Confessions Second Edition when I have the time.
Other than that, I haven't been asked too much about my books. I have sold a total of 139 books through KDP. And about 10 or so at my first and only signing, so roughly 150 books since I started writing. I always said that I didn't do this for fame or money, and if one person, that I do not know, read my book, I would consider this whole thing a success.
If I could give any new author any advice, find a community that you can truly trust, but if that isn't your bag, WRITE THE BOOK! Just sit down and start. A thousand mile journey always starts with one step!
