Ok, didn't think I would be crying reading a Christmas book made for tweens and up, but here we are. Nat's dealing with death, guilt, grief, anger, all completely understandable and all completely justified. Some help from new friends makes her see what's important and how you can live with grief and laugh at the same time. All the characters are so colorful and the lands that Adrian takes you to are so magnificently descriptive that it could easily play out in a movie.

This is a mystery wrapped up in sarcasm, tension, and monsters. Adrian knows how to keep you guessing and also how you make you laugh. There may even be some tears along the way. There really shouldn't be laughing in a bloody footprint but yet there is. All of the characters have bite to them, both literally and figuratively. Can't wait for everyone to get their hands on this story.
